Miso basically goes well with any ingredients, of course, beef as well. Originally beef bowl’s flavour is similar to Sukiyaki. When you add miso into it, miso gives rich and fantastic flavour. This dish doesn’t take much time. Try and enjoy your miso beef bowl!
・ 160 g beef rib (sliced・ 4 cm length)
・ 1/2 onion (1-２cm batoned)
・ 8 g ginger (chopped)
・ 1/2 garlic (chopped)
・ some cooking oil
・ 2 tbsp. miso
・ 400 g rice (cooled)
<Beef bowl sauce>
・ 100 ml dashi stock (powdered dashi or stock made by hand with combu and katsuo)
・ １tbsp. soy sauce
・ 2 tbsp. white wine
・ 1 tbsp. sugar
1. Put the ingredients of beef bowl sauce into a bowl and mix them. On the other hand, dissolve the miso with 2 tbsp. of the sauce mixture.
2. Heat cooking oil and stir-fry the garlic and ginger with a frying pan until it’s aromatic. Add the beef and fry until browned over high heat. Then, add onions.
3. When the onions are soften, add sauce mixture and cook for about 4 minutes at medium heat. Then, add miso and turn off the heat. Serve it over rice.
