1/2 cup pumpkin (cut into bite-sized pieces)
100 g bacon (cut into 1 cm pieces)
2 tablespoons rice flour
300 ml milk
1 teaspoon Consommé (or some kind of broth/stock)
A dash of salt
A dash of white pepper
1 teaspoon oil
An appropriate amount of parmesan cheese (enough to sprinkle over your gratin)
An appropriate amount of roasted pumpkin seeds (used to scatter over the top of your dish)
1. Put the pumpkin (already cut into bite-sized pieces without seeds) in a baking dish and put it in a microwave oven for 5 minutes at 600w.
2. Put the oil in a frying pan and fry the bacon until it is properly cooked.
3. Put the rice flour and milk into a pot and mix well. Then put the pot over a medium flame and stir until the mixture thickens. After it thickens add the Consommé, and then the salt and white pepper (as needed).
4. Next, pour the mixture (your white sauce) into 2 dishes equally. Add your pumpkin and then sprinkle some parmesan cheese and roasted pumpkin seeds over the mixture. Lastly, bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 200 ℃ in the oven.
